NOT YOU AGAIN // BIVOUAC
October 2013 - January 2014
Not You Again’ showcases some of Hayley’s most recent works in an exciting collection of some of her most famous creations alongside brand new art created exlusivley for Bivouac.
The collection explores the concept of humanity’s constant battle with self-hate and pursuit of ‘happiness’. Her paintings reflect the search for one’s inner child and the art of listening to the ‘voices within’. She encourages us all to look for the beauty in something as simple as a piece of wood, and seek happiness from in the present, with her whimsical characters as our guides.

HAYLEY WELSH VS AL EX

Following Welsh’s Little Voices project, traveling across the US from San Francisco to New York in a converted school bus, collecting found objects and creating artwork along the way, we showcase her New York show Little Voices, here in Perth.
Utilising found objects as her canvas, Welsh creates whimsical new worlds with surreal wide-eyed characters as our guides.
From street signs and license plates, to old luggage, Welsh turns what most of us would see as trash into wonderful works of art. What makes the work even more amazing, is the fact that Welsh created many of these works in a moving school bus
